John is married to Terrie Brooks, they have 2 grown children, and 5 grandchildren. John was in Prison for 25 years (in the administrative side) before being called as our Pastor. John has a shepherd’s heart and would love to meet with you anytime. John has a BA from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and 12 hours remaining on his MA from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

What makes CBC a special place to you?
My family and I were members of CBC for 9 years. We left CBC for 3 years for me to accept a bi-vocational pastorate. When I returned to CBC it was as pastor.

Favorite memory of CBC:
Conducting the weddings for both of my Children.

Holman Old Testament Commentary on Hosea by Trent C. Butler

I spend my free time:
Swimming, biking, running and participating in similar competitive events.

The first grandchild of both sets of parents.

My desire for Central:
I would like to see Central become a place of refuge for people of all walks of life; a place where they can develop an initial relationship or grow deeper in their relationship with the Lord Jesus.

Jimi is married to his best friend, Lynn! Married since August 22, 1992. They were not able to have children of their own, but God has blessed them with children in the faith and a spoiled black lab, named Ellie. Jimi has a BA from East Texas Baptist University, and MACE from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Lead others to fulfill their God-given vision of loving God wholeheartedly, loving themselves and others, and making God famous through equipping people to serve Him well. I want to do whatever it takes to make my God famous!

What makes CBC a special place to you?
The God we serve! He completely blows me away by the way He always comes through for our church, our people, the staff, and me personally. God’s presence is the greatest thing about any of us!

Favorite memory of CBC:
Vacation Bible School, any year! Our people come together each and every year to transform our church facilities for one purpose, and one goal; to make God famous in the eyes of the children in our community. VBS is always well done at CBC!

Dating my wife, riding our Honda VTX1800 (motorcycle), playing golf, and being a Dallas Cowboy fan!

Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, and I would be all up in their business , as well!

Be a better husband, to be a better communicator, to ride my motorcycle into every state in the USA, to skydive once and live, and to have no regrets by how I lived my life, “to make my dash count for something of eternal value” (1960 - ?)

What makes CBC a special place to you?
The People – the people here are absolutely amazing. They are so willing to learn and grow and try new things all in an effort to Love God and Love others and Make Him Famous.

Favorite memory of CBC:
Our community Thanksgiving Service in 2006. What an awesome time to come together and worship God, as we will be in Heaven. Denominational lines come down in order to worship the same God in one voice!

Craig is married to his college sweetheart, Tammy. He is the proud father of Stephen, 14 months old. Craig and Tammy have been married since August 16, 1997. Craig is a graduate of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton with a Bachelors degree in Religion and a minor and Psychology (this should explain a lot). Craig is a big fan of the San Antonio Spurs.

Stuff that you do at CBC:
Equip teenagers and even parents to love God enough to love other people. I get to teach and lead the youth program. One of the best parts is I get to go support the programs that our teenagers are in.

What makes CBC a special place to you?
Of course, God and how He works in each of us. But beyond that, the People here. They have welcomed us into the family since the first day they laid eyes on us. I believe that they would do the same for everyone. They are just that kind of people who love God.

Favorite memory of CBC:
So far…the night that I came to visit and interview. Blown away by how friendly everyone was and still is.
